How do I use Tjikko?

  1. One tablet per brushing, do not use water.
  2. chew the tablet.
  3. brush with a dry toothbrush (Tjikko dissolves in saliva).
  4. Spit, don't rinse your mouth and feel good.

Key ingredients

  • Bicarbonate

    The base in Tjikko. Bicarbonate neutralizes acids in the mouth, the ones that otherwise corrode cavities in the teeth. The result? A naturally healthier environment where cavities don't thrive.

  • Xylitol & Isomalt

    Tjikko contains Xylitol and Isomalt, two sugar alcohols that caries bacteria cannot use as food. At the same time, they stimulate saliva production, which helps the mouth protect itself.

  • Fluoride (or not)

    The classic Tjikko contains both fluoride and hydroxyapatite, substances that strengthen and build enamel. For those who want to avoid fluoride, there is now also a fluoride-free alternative with the same high effect.

FAQ

Is Tjikko certified?

Certifications are an expensive way of saying that you live up to your own values. In cosmetics it's probably more about using good suppliers, knowing that quality comes first and that the manufacturer is ISO certified, which we know. All our products are and will remain made in Europe and all ingredients are certified vegan.

Do I need water to use Tjikko?

No, you should not have water on your toothbrush and, according to dental recommendations, you should not rinse your mouth after you have finished brushing. The sugar alcohols in Tjikko increase saliva secretion, so water is not needed.

What is special about Tjikko's ingredients?

All ingredients are carefully selected to combat cavities and other oral health problems. There are no ingredients that do not fulfill a function.

Is Tjikko vegan?

Yes, Tjikko is vegan and all ingredients that the producer uses in all of its products are certified vegan.

Is Tjikko environmentally friendly?

Our belief is that nothing we humans do is environmentally friendly. But we work 100% to be at least 98% not bad for the environment. We work hard to minimize packaging, transportation and unnecessary materials at all levels.

How should I store Tjikko?

Tjikko's toothpaste tablets are sensitive to moisture and should therefore always be stored in an airtight container. When you open a smaller package, and especially a refill bag - we recommend that you immediately pour the tablets into a sealed jar. (We are currently developing our own jar adapted for the bathroom.) After a bag has been opened, the tablets should be used within three months.
